ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE - KHOOBSURATI.COM (HAUL)

Hey everyone!

I'm reviewing an online shopping site, khoobsurati.com for you guys today. I'm a big online shopping buff and always on a lookout for nice websites. Hell I even order groceries online if I'm staying in a metro..so you get the idea! ;)

I was randomly browsing some sites the other day when I came across this one. It looked pretty good, with all those categories and brands and everything so of course, I decided to give it a whirl. They have a vast product selection which is something I liked. And a bunch of categories that include footwear, clothing, accessories, skincare, makeup and hair products, perfumes etc. Also had good discounts and deals on pretty much everything.

Here's what I ordered:
Basicare Vented Hair Brush
Panache headband
Panache Face Wash Roll
Sattvik Organics Eye Care under Eye Cream

Delivery time - I placed an order on 16th october which was shipped the same day and received it on 19th october. Which is super fast considering my location.

Packaging - Bubble wrap, thermocol and box as you can see. Very secure.

On orders over Rs. 300 they offer free shipping.

Payment options - Credit and debit cards, Cash on delivery( although they do charge you Rs. 40 for COD)

The site is very user friendly and the customer support team is great. The eye cream smells heavenly ..how should I describe it..mmmmmm ..it smells like roasted almonds ..and salty caramel ..and coconut ..I could eat it :D And I'm in love with the headband ..it's so quirky and fun. Let me know if you guys are interested in a hairdo tutorial :)

My rating - 4.7/5

Would I shop again? YES! What's not to like?

COLORBAR EXCLUSIVE NAIL LACQUER LIME MARGARITA -SWATCHES & REVIEW

*sigh*
I think this color has me under a spell. I can't stop looking at it.

Price:
Rupees 175 for 9 ml.

My Take:
That color! It's all kinds of beautiful..! Doesn't it look like something tinkerbell would wear while she twirls her tiny green dress around sprinkling pixie dust all over? ^_^
I think this shade looks a lot better off-camera. It's a lot prettier and a lot more neon and I love love love it! The formula is pretty good and not at all streaky. I have three coats on and no top coat. Even after three coats it's not completely opaque but I think i can live with it considering how pretty this shade is. It's also very close to china glaze's I'm with the lifeguard minus all that shimmer.

My rating:
4.5/5

You can buy it here if you want.

How do you like neon nails? Let me know in the comments section below :)

REVIEW : ANATOMICALS BODY CLEANSERS -NEW YORK LONDON PARIS AND FOAM, SHOWER TO THE PEOPLE , SUD THE LOT OF YOU ;)

Hey everyone!
Before I begin, here's a few pictures for you to drool over :P

About Anatomicals:
Approaching skincare with a tongue-in-cheek attitude, cult brand Anatomicals, 'only want you for your body'.
Formulating effective products for the face and body, Anatomicals are known for their bright colors and cool packaging, not to mention the provocative attention-grabbing product names such as 'The Bender Mender' and 'Snog Me Senseless'.

Price:
3 GBP each, which is roughly 300 Rupees for a 300 ml bottle.

My experience:
'The world stinks. I don't.':D

I'm a big shower gel enthusiast. Especially the yummy-smelling fruity ones. I have a huge collection but these are the ones I'm always reaching out for. The quirky packaging..the catchy slogans..the bright colors..what's not to love?

Sud the lot of you, which is my favorite out of the three, smells like a very concentrated mango drink(think maaza:D) Heavenly!

New York London Paris and Foam is also BERRY fruity ;) blueberries, raspberries and a whole lot of other fruits. Smells yummy!

Shower to the people is more on the citrus side. People who don't want to smell like a tropical fruit drink would probably like this a lot.

They're pretty easy to use and to close. So you can carry them with you when you travel. I love that they have a pump.
All of these are paraben free which is something I prefer. Although, you need quite a bit of the product to get it to lather up nicely but that's fine with me. They're not at all drying and leave my skin feeling fresh, clean and moisturized.
You can grab one here

My rating:

4.7/5 ^_^

Will I repurchase?

Yes! ALWAYS!

I've had my eye on their 'I am woman, hear me snore' sleep mask for so long but it's never in stock. Have you tried any products from Anatomicals? Let me know in the comments section below :)

VELVETTE BOXBAG .. SEPTEMBER 2013 (Anniversary Edition)

Hey everyone!

I received my September vellvette bag last week. This was a special anniversary edition and came in an adorable satiny polka dotted bag :D. I ordered mine pretty late (probably on the very last day) and it reached within a week so no complaints there. Here's what I got.

1. Organic surge shine boost conditioner 100 ml
2. Beauty UK eyeshadow  palette -Earth Child (Full size)
3. Flormar deluxe shine gloss lipstick in DC33 (Full size)
4. Compact brush (Soo cute isn't it?)

Value wise (Rupees 499) the box is great! It has two full sized products. I loved everything! But if i had to pick one, the flormar lipstick would probably be my favorite. Love the color. It's more of a lipbalm/stain than a lipstick and is perfect for everyday.
How did you guys like it all? Do comment and let me know :)

I'm listening to "Baby One More Time By Bowling For Soup" as i write this post. Give it a listen. I like it better than the original!

Also, I just finished reading "Life Eternal By Yvonne Woon" which was a sequel to "Dead beautiful" and boyy! What a read it was! Loved it to bits! But it ended with a cliffhanger! A cliffhanger!!!! Don't you just hate it when that happens? The next book doesn't come out until next year :( so I'm a little out of sorts. To take my mind off it I'm going to watch the new episode of The Vampire Diaries and treat myself to some comfort food ^_^

What are your plans for tonight?

REVLON BLUE LAGOON - SWATCHES & REVIEW

It's been a while. I know. No excuses. I'm just plain lazy. But I promise I will try to post as frequent as possible :)

So I'm back with a product review. I have to tell you, I am obsessed with taking care of my hands and nails. You can get all the surgeries in the world to look young but when it comes to your age, it's your hands that will give you away. A quick tip - keep a bottle of a good hand cream right next to your hand wash and moisturize after every wash. Also, try not to use soaps that are too drying. Use a mild moisturizing one instead. Your hands will thank you.

Enough talk. Let's do some reviewing :D
This super gorgeous shade is called Blue Lagoon. There's a story behind how I got it ..or should I say "found it". I'm really into mint color these days. I have enough mint green nail polishes and I wanted a mint blue one. Did a little searching online and found this lovely shade. I WANTED IT ..like soo badd.! Was going to order it online.
The very next day, my younger sister sends home a lot of junk(she stays in a hostel and is very careless. Our servant had gone to clean her room and she gave him a a whole bag of things she wanted to throw away). So I'm sitting at home sorting all that out and there it is screaming "I'm shooo pretty, take me^_^
OMG we're so meant to be together :D

My experience

Blue lagoon is a light blue with really pretty silver shimmer. The consistency is not the best. It's really streaky and thick and a real pain to apply..but totally worth it. You just have to be patient. I have three coats on and no top coat. It took forever to dry.
The finish is quite rough because of the shimmer. But that doesn't bother me too much. No chips for a week which is quite good. Shows tip wear in less than a day. But I guess that's just because I overuse my nails. You can buy it here if you want.

                    Thanks for reading :)

BAKE WITH ME - "BEST" BROWNIES IN THE WORLD

Hello everyone :)
This is my first post and my very first attempt at blogging so my first thought was why not start with "something sweet".

I'm going to share with you guys my super secret super easy no fail recipe for delicious fudgy super ooey gooey brownies. I mean look at all that goo oozing out of them. Be prepared to gain a few inches people because you're going to want to make these every second day ( I know I do). I promise you these are the most delicious little bites of heaven you'll ever have. Okay Maybe I'm exaggerating just a little but trust me these are just yummieee yummmmm.

I've always been a big fan of brownies(the fudgy kinds not the cakey ones) and so I was always looking for "the perfect recipe". Some would turn out too dense and some too cakey. So I experimented a whole lot, adapted a few recipes and then one day THESE BABIES WERE BORN :D (I sound like that whacky professor tryna make the "powerpuff girls" in his lab don't I? ..well I'm no baker so it was an achievement :D)

You will need :

2 eggs
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp honey
1/2 cup all purpose flour or Maida
1 tsp vanilla essence
100 gms semi sweet chocolate (I used Morde dark chocolate compound)
60 gms butter (about half a stick small amul butter)
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup roughly chopped walnuts (optional)
1 tbsp Chocolate chips

Instructions :

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Line your 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper and grease it.
3. In a large steel pan(you're going to do all the mixing later in the same one) melt the butter and the 100 gms semi sweet chocolate over low heat stirring continuously.
4. Remove from heat and then add the sugar and honey. Stir well using a wooden spoon and let it cool('cause you don't want the eggs to scramble)
5. Beat the 2 eggs separately for about 10-15 seconds and add to the chocolate mixture along with the vanilla essence and stir until everything it well blended.(Never over mix it)
6. Now add the flour, walnuts and the choco chips. Stir using the same wooden spoon (not a whisk) until it's all combined(you don't want to over mix it because that'll make the brownies really cakey and dry like bread)
7. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Toothpick inserted should come out clean when done. Take them out instantly and let them cool(I know ..it's the hardest part). Cut and serve.
8. Enjoy with a glass of cold milk or a scoop of vanilla icecream on top :)

Do let me know how they turn out for you.

Have a chocolaty day everyone :)
